BUENOS AIRES Daniel Sedin Canucks Jersey , Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- An Argentine soccer player from a local league in La Rioja province (northwest) died on Wednesday after he was beaten by a gang of rival fans last Sunday, the local football league from Aimogasta confirmed Wednesday.


The beating occurred after the match between the teams Tiro Federal and Chacarita Juniors, from La Rioja's Aimogasta League.


The match was suspended due to a fight between players just 15 minutes before the end. Tiro Federal was winning with a 3-1 score and the referee expelled eight players.
